Mr. Jeffrey Kozlik
Mr. Kozlik was born and raised in South Omaha, attending St. Peter and Paul Catholic School. After attending St. Peter and Paul, Mr. Kozlik went onto Bellevue West High School, where he graduated in 2004. Mr. Kozlik attended the University of Nebraska at Kearney and graduated with a degree in Health and Physical Education K-12 in December 2009. Following graduation, Jeff substituted in the Ralston Public Schools System until accepting a Physical Education job at Assumption-Guadalupe Catholic School for the fall of 2011-2012. This is Mr. Kozlik's fourth year at Holy Name. Along with teaching at Holy Name, Mr. Kozlik also teaches health and physical education at St. Thomas More Catholic School K-8.
Mr. Kozlik believes in living a healthy lifestyle and stresses the importance of being active daily. Mr. Kozlik believes that the gym is just like a classroom, a place where students should and will feel safe to learn and express talent in multiple forms of health and physical education related activities. The gym is a positive learning environment. Students are encouraged to express their talents and understanding of games, sports, fitness and health in class. The use of demonstration and break down of skills into steps known as skill cues are used to reinforce activities and skills learned by the students.
Outside of teaching health and physical education, Mr. Kozlik enjoys living an active life filled with sports and family. Some interests include working out/lifting weights, biking, basketball, and golf. You can usually find him at one of the many golf courses around Omaha or watching his beloved Nebraska Cornhuskers or Kansas City Royals on the weekends.
